Used DSLR and mirrorless cameras, checked one by one in our workshop with at least 11 tests: every body comes with a certified shutter count and a declared condition grade, from Like new to Visible signs of use, with real photos of the exact item you receive. If a camera does not pass the technical checks, it never reaches the site.

Every camera is covered by a 24-month warranty (12 months with a VAT number), with free returns within 14 days of delivery. Shipping across Europe with UPS for €15, free within Italy from €49: what you see is in our warehouse in Ancona, Italy, and the parcel travels at our risk until it reaches you.

How we check our used gear

Every item for sale goes through our in-house lab before it goes online and is covered by a 2-year warranty (12 months if you buy with a VAT number).
On camera bodies we check the sensor, body shell, electronics, plastics, rubber grips and display; on lenses the barrel, glass elements, aperture and autofocus.
Every listing shows the photos, the condition and the shutter count of that very unit: what you see is what you get.

Frequently asked questions about used cameras

How many actuations does a used camera have?

It depends on the unit, which is why we read the number in our workshop and write it on every product page as the certified shutter count. Among the bodies we have sold with the counter recorded, about half had under 10,000 actuations and nine in ten under 50,000. The bands we use for the grade are up to 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 actuations. The full figures are on our shutter count data for used cameras page.

What do you check on a used camera before selling it?

At least 11 checks in our workshop: general operation, main board and electronics, shutter with a reading of the counter, mirror and pentaprism on DSLRs, sensor with cleaning, screen, buttons and dials, hot shoe, flat cable, plastics, then cleaning inside and out. A camera that does not pass the checks never reaches the website; cosmetic wear, on the other hand, is declared with the grade and shown in the photos of the unit.

What do the condition grades of used cameras mean?

There are five levels: Like new (cosmetics 97-100%), Excellent (90-96%), Minor signs of use (80-89%), Visible signs of use (70-79%) and Heavily worn (below 70%). On camera bodies the grade also takes the certified shutter count into account, with bands up to 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000, and the lower of the two levels applies: a pristine body with many actuations cannot be Like new.

Should I choose a used DSLR or a used mirrorless camera?

A used DSLR usually costs less for the same sensor size, has an optical viewfinder, long battery life and a wide choice of used lenses with the Canon EF or Nikon F mount. A used mirrorless camera is compact, focuses across the whole frame, shows the exposure in the viewfinder and takes current-generation lenses, plus DSLR lenses through an adapter. Decide based on the lenses you already own and on how you shoot.
