2. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
Personal and identifying data. Personal data means any information relating to a natural person, identified or identifiable, even indirectly, by reference to any other information, including a personal identification number; identifying data are the personal data that allow the direct identification of the data subject (such as, by way of example, first name, surname, e-mail address, address, telephone number, etc.).
Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment. This data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it works correctly.
Legal defence – The user’s personal data may be used for the controller’s defence in legal proceedings, or in the stages leading to their possible commencement, against misuse of the site or related services by the user. The data may be used to establish liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site.
Maintenance – The user’s personal data may be processed with additional methods and purposes related to the maintenance of the systems.
At present no monitoring of the activities carried out on the company’s website is performed. This is without prejudice to any future control activity that may be requested, in accordance with the law, by the police, the judicial authority, information and security bodies or other public entities for the purposes of State defence or security, or the prevention, detection or prosecution of crimes.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mail to the addresses shown on this site, or the completion of data-collection forms, entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to reply to requests, as well as of any other personal data entered.
Specific notices – Specific notices may be presented on the pages of the site in relation to particular services or the processing of data provided by the user or the data subject.
Cookies
Cookie policy. The software applications used may contain “cookie” technology. Cookies mainly serve to make the user’s browsing easier. Cookies can provide information on browsing within the site and enable the operation of certain services that require identification of the user’s path across the various pages of the site. For any access to the portal, regardless of the presence of a cookie, the browser type, the operating system (e.g. Microsoft, Apple, Android, Linux, etc.), the host and the URL from which the visitor comes, as well as data on the requested page, are recorded. The user can nevertheless set their browser to be informed when a cookie is received and thus decide to delete it. Further information on cookies can be found on the websites of the browser providers.
What are cookies? Cookies are small text strings stored on the user’s computer when certain Internet pages are visited. In most browsers cookies are enabled; below is the information needed to change the cookie settings in the browser. Cookies are not harmful to the device. In the cookies we generate we do not store personally identifying information, but we use information to improve the time spent on the site — for example, they are useful to identify and fix errors. The controller reserves the right to use cookies, with the user’s consent where required by applicable law or regulations, to facilitate browsing on this site and personalise the information displayed. The controller also reserves the right to use similar systems to collect information about site users — such as the type of Internet browser and operating system used — for statistical or security purposes.
Types of cookie. Cookies are divided into “session” and “persistent” cookies: the former, once downloaded, are deleted when the browser is closed, while the latter are stored until they expire or are deleted. Session cookies are mainly used during authentication, authorisation and browsing of services accessed through registration. Most browsers are set to accept cookies. If you do not wish to accept cookies, you can set your computer to refuse them or to display a warning when they are stored. If the data subject refuses the use of cookies, some site features may not work correctly and some services may not be available. The use of so-called session cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers, necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site. This data is technical in nature, temporary, and is not collected to identify users but, due to its operation and in combination with other data held by third parties (for example the data subject’s Internet connection provider), could allow their identification. First-party cookies can only be read by the domain that created them.
Third-party cookies. Created and readable by domains external to this site. The software used creates a cookie in order to generate usage statistics. The data generated by this cookie is stored by Google Inc. For the operation of cookies in Google Analytics, please refer to the official documentation provided by Google.
How can I disable cookies? Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can also choose not to accept them. If you do not want your computer to receive and store cookies, you can change the security settings of your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, etc.). There are several ways to manage cookies and other tracking technologies. By changing your browser settings you can accept or refuse cookies, or choose to receive a warning before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. You can delete all the cookies installed in your browser’s cookie folder.
