We do not ask the seller for the number: we read it ourselves in our workshop and publish it on the listing as a certified shutter count, and the stated grade is the lower of cosmetic condition and shutter-count band. What do you check on a used Canon 5D Mark III before selling it?
We read the shutter count, check the full-frame sensor (dust and scratches), the mirror, the viewfinder, the screen, the two CF and SD slots, the dials, buttons and battery, then we test it with an EF lens. Which lenses fit a Canon 5D Mark III?
The Canon 5D Mark III has the Canon EF mount and a full-frame sensor: it takes every Canon EF lens, including the Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses with an EF mount. EF-S lenses, designed for APS-C sensors, do not fit. There is no in-body stabilisation, so stabilisation depends on the lens.
