How many shutter actuations does a used Canon 6D usually have?
Among the Canon 6D bodies we have sold since 2023, the last one, in August 2026, had a certified shutter count of 14,643 and was in Very good condition grade. We do not ask the seller for the number: we read it in our workshop and print it on the listing as a certified shutter count, and the declared grade is the lower of cosmetic condition and shutter-count band. What do you check on a used Canon 6D before selling it?
We read the shutter counter, check the full-frame sensor (dust and scratches), the mirror, the viewfinder, the screen, the SD slot, the Wi-Fi and the GPS, the dials, the buttons and the battery, then we test it with an EF lens. The grade and the included accessories, such as a battery grip, are written on each item's page, and it comes with a 2-year warranty.
Which lenses fit a Canon 6D?
The Canon 6D has the Canon EF mount and a full-frame sensor: it takes all Canon EF lenses, including Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses with an EF mount. EF-S lenses, designed for APS-C sensors, do not fit. It has no in-body stabilisation, so the stabiliser depends on the lens.
