If a Sony does not pass the technical checks, it never reaches the site.

Every camera is covered by a 24-month warranty (12 months with a VAT number), with free returns within 14 days of delivery. Shipping across Europe with UPS for €15, free within Italy from €49: what you see is in our warehouse in Ancona, Italy, and the parcel travels at our risk until it reaches you.

How we check our used gear

Every item for sale goes through our in-house lab before it goes online and is covered by a 2-year warranty (12 months if you buy with a VAT number).
On camera bodies we check the sensor, body shell, electronics, plastics, rubber grips and display; on lenses the barrel, glass elements, aperture and autofocus.
Every listing shows the photos, the condition and the shutter count of that very unit: what you see is what you get.

Frequently asked questions about used Sony cameras

What do you check on a used Sony camera?

On every Sony body we carry out at least 11 checks: shutter counter, exposed sensor with cleaning, curtain, in-body stabilisation where fitted, electronic viewfinder and screen, buttons, dials and multi-interface shoe, electronics, battery and a test shot with a Sony E lens. The cosmetic grade and the accessories included with the unit are on its product page.

How many actuations does a used Sony have and how are they read?

On many Sony Alpha cameras the counter does not appear in the menus, so we read it in our workshop from the data of a test shot and write it on the product page as the certified shutter count. The bands for the grade are up to 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 actuations and the lower level between cosmetics and counter applies: the exact figure is on each product page. Which lenses fit a used Sony camera?

Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras have the E mount: FE lenses cover full frame, E lenses the APS-C format, and an FE lens also works on APS-C bodies with a crop of the field of view. Sigma, Tamron, Samyang and Zeiss make lenses in Sony E mount. Sony DSLRs and SLT cameras use the A mount instead, which fits Alpha E bodies through the original adapter.
