How many shots does a used Canon 550D usually have?
It depends on the unit, which is why we never ask the seller for the number: we read the shutter count ourselves in our workshop and publish it on the page as a certified shutter count. The stated grade is the lower of cosmetic condition and shutter-count band, so a clean but heavily used Canon 550D does not come out as Like new. What do you check on a used Canon 550D before selling it?
The shutter count, the APS-C sensor (dust and scratches), the mirror, the viewfinder, the screen, the SD slot, the dials, buttons and battery; then we try it with an EF-S lens and check the autofocus and video recording. Which lenses fit a Canon 550D?
The Canon 550D has the Canon EF-S mount with an APS-C sensor: it takes EF-S lenses and every Canon EF lens, including Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses with an EF mount. With an EF lens the field of view is narrower than on full frame. There is no in-body stabilisation, so stabilisation depends on the lens.
