How many shutter actuations does a used Canon 5Ds usually have?
We do not yet have a series of sales from which to draw a typical shutter-count range for the Canon 5Ds. On every unit we read the shutter count ourselves in our workshop and print it on the item's page as a certified shutter count; the declared grade is the lower of cosmetic condition and shutter-count band. You can see how shutter counts are spread across the bodies we sell in our shutter count data.
What do you check on a used Canon 5Ds before selling it?
We read the shutter counter, check the 50.6-megapixel full-frame sensor (dust and scratches), the mirror, the viewfinder, the screen, the two CF and SD slots, the dials, the buttons and the battery, then we test it with an EF lens. Grade and included accessories are written on each item's page, and it comes with a 2-year warranty.
Which lenses fit a Canon 5Ds?
The Canon 5Ds has the Canon EF mount and a full-frame sensor: it takes all Canon EF lenses, including Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses with an EF mount. EF-S lenses, designed for APS-C sensors, do not fit. It has no in-body stabilisation, so stabilisation depends on the lens.
