How many shutter actuations does a used Canon 70D usually have?
It depends on the unit: the last two Canon 70D bodies we sold, in 2026, had certified shutter counts of 4,849 and 10,262, in Very good condition and Like new grade. We do not ask the seller for the number: we read it ourselves in our workshop and print it on the item's page, and the declared grade is the lower of cosmetic condition and shutter-count band. What do you check on a used Canon 70D before selling it?
We read the shutter counter, check the 20.2-megapixel APS-C sensor (dust and scratches), the mirror, the viewfinder, the touch screen, the SD slot, the Wi-Fi, the dials, the buttons and the battery, then we test it with an EF-S lens. Grade and included accessories are written on each item's page, and it comes with a 2-year warranty.
Which lenses fit a Canon 70D?
The Canon 70D has the Canon EF-S mount and an APS-C sensor: it takes both EF-S lenses, designed for this format, and all Canon EF lenses, including Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses with an EF mount. With an EF lens the frame is cropped compared with full frame. Stabilisation depends on the lens, not on the body.
