Frequently asked questions about the used Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G ED
What do you check on a used Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G ED?
We look closely at the bulbous front element, which has no filter thread and is exposed to scratches, then the other elements against the light (haze, fungus, internal dust), the zoom ring and the focus ring, the aperture, the autofocus on a Nikon body, the fixed hood and the mount. Grade and included accessories are on the listing, with a 2-year warranty.
Which cameras does the Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G ED fit?
It has the Nikon F mount and is an FX lens for full-frame DSLRs, with a built-in autofocus motor: it focuses even on DX DSLRs without a motor in the body, where the field of view narrows. On Nikon Z mirrorless cameras it mounts through the FTZ adapter, with working autofocus.
How much does a used Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G ED cost from you?
Since 2023 we have sold three, between €570 and €702; the last two in 2026 at €570, one in Very good condition and one with Minimal Signs. On each unit's listing you will find price, grade and included accessories, with a 2-year warranty; if you have one to sell or trade in, we value it within 24 hours.
Is the Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G ED stabilised?
No: it is a fast wide-angle zoom with a constant f2.8 aperture and no VR stabiliser. At such short focal lengths you shoot handheld at normal shutter speeds, and on Nikon Z mirrorless cameras with in-body stabilisation it works stabilised through the FTZ adapter. The hood is fixed and screw-in filters cannot be fitted.
